How quickly do you ship my order?

We ship all our packages with tracking through Australia Post within 2-4 days from purchase (weekends excluded). Please allow for 7 days domestic and 3 weeks for international orders. Unfortunately once the package has been dropped off it is out of our hands. Please use the tracking number supplied to keep an eye on your package.
If “Newy Pickup” has been selected, please plan a time with Sarah for collection.

Why does your packaging look like that?

We always try to reduce our footprint with our packaging. Therefore we try to reuse existing packaging materials where we can. You may find some bubble wrap one time, or an old show box the next. But rest assured, we always pack your items with care and love.

WHAT IS YOUR RETURNS POLICY?

Due to quality control and hygiene issues, we do not accept returns or exchanges. We cannot resell earrings once they have left our home studio. Being a small business, we don't have the capacity to accept and process returns. Please look carefully at item pictures and descriptions, and ask all questions before purchasing.

If you have the unfortunate experience of your earrings breaking (within 30 days of purchase) please contact us as soon as possible via email to sarah@holmeswares.com with a photo of the piece.
Returns will not be granted for items not taken care of or stored correctly. We highly recommend a earring display board. Proof of purchase may be required.

ARE YOUR COLOURS REALLY THAT BRIGHT?

Every effort is made to show a true representation of the colours used for your earrings. However, please keep in mind that colours may appear slightly different on other computer and phone screens. Colour can and does vary from screen to screen.

HOW DO YOU MAKE THE EARRINGS?

These earrings are handmade in Newcastle, NSW. Each item is lovingly rolled out, cut, baked, sanded and assembled by hand from polymer clay. Polymer clay is durable and very light weight. The backs of the earrings are 316 Hypoallergenic Surgical Stainless Steel posts.
Our clay earrings are handmade and each piece is unique and we sell nothing we wouldn't wear ourselves.

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY EARRINGS?

  • Polymer clay is durable and light weight, however please remember to handle with care.

  • Please do not bend your earrings - they look strong and brave, but can be quite fragile. Try to not flex or bend clay too heavily. The earrings are handmade, please remember to treat them gently.

  • Keep out of direct sunlight.

  • Do not wear while swimming, bathing or generally in water. Exposure to water can limit the life span of the clay and fade colours.

  • Avoid direct contact with lotion or perfumes.

  • When travelling, please keep in a padded jewellery container.

  • All earrings posts are made from 316 Hypoallergenic Surgical Stainless Steel, perfect for sensitive ears.

  • Do not use as a toy. Keep away from children.
