Why I Chose Acrylic
When I first started making earrings, I knew I wanted to create pieces that were bold, bright, and full of personality. When I started, I was making with polymer clay. This was a great starter for me. It pushed my creative brain, and to be honest was a joy to use. However, there is that thing called TIME.
That’s when I discovered acrylic. And honestly? It was love at first laser cut.
Acrylic is ideal for laser cutting, which means I can create precise, playful, and intricate shapes that other materials just don’t allow. And because I hand-paint many of my sheets before cutting, each piece feels like a little work of art.
Despite being lightweight, acrylic is also sturdy and durable, which is essential for jewelry that’s meant to be worn, loved, and lived in. With a little care, acrylic earrings stay vibrant and strong for years. Plus, they’re easy to clean—just a gentle wipe now and then and they’re good as new! Just remember to ONLY wipe the front of your earrings. This is the side that faces out to the wrold.
Choosing acrylic wasn’t just a design decision. It was about finding a material that matched the spirit of my brand: fun, bold, colorful, and creative. It gives me the tools to make earrings that spark joy, start conversations, and let people express themselves through wearable art.
